Privacy policy

ClipMark ("ClipMark", "we") runs clipmark.in. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. We keep it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
- When you message us on WhatsApp, including through the brief form on our Contact page: your name, phone number, business name, Instagram handle and anything you choose to write. The form does not send anything to us. It opens WhatsApp with your message written out, and you decide whether to send it.
- If you become a client: the details we need to invoice you, such as your business name and address, and the content you share with us to make your posts and reels.
This website does not use analytics, advertising trackers or tracking cookies. See our cookie policy.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and talk about your project.
- To quote, agree the work in writing and invoice you.
- To deliver our services, including sending you content to approve.
- To keep the records Indian law requires, such as tax records.
We don't use your data for anything else, we don't sell it, and we don't share it with anyone for their marketing.
Your consent
When you message us, you agree to us using your details for the purposes above. You can withdraw that consent at any time by telling us. We'll then stop using your data, except for records the law requires us to keep.
Who else handles it
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries our chats. WhatsApp's own privacy policy covers messages sent through it.
- Cloudflare hosts this website and processes technical data, such as IP addresses, to deliver it securely.
Some of these providers may store data outside India.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry messages only as long as we need them to talk to you about your project, and we delete them sooner if you ask. Client records such as invoices are kept for as long as Indian tax law requires.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- correct, complete or update it;
- erase it, unless the law requires us to keep it;
- stop using it, by withdrawing your consent;
- deal with a complaint about how we have handled it;
- let someone you nominate use these rights for you if you die or cannot act yourself.
If you're not happy with our answer to a complaint, you can take it to the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, tell us and we'll delete them.
Keeping it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect your data, and only share it with people who need it to work on your project.
